A/C Compressor
The A/C compressor is responsible for providing the system pressure necessary to move refrigerant throughout the A/C system. Without adequate system pressure, the refrigerant will not adequately cool the air in your vehicle’s cabin. An A/C system that is not blowing cold air or intermittently blowing cold air can be caused by an A/C compressor. Some simple checks that can be performed before condemning an A/C compressor are, verifying system refrigerant, verifying plausible values from all temperature and pressure sensors, and verifying command signals from the HVAC control unit.
